Inferable is now open source!
Discover how Inferable's open-source release enables self-hosting, customization, and community contributions under the MIT license
We're excited to announce that Inferable is now fully open source! The entire codebase is available on GitHub under the permissive MIT license.
What this means for you
- Complete transparency: You can now inspect every line of code that powers Inferable
- Self-hosting: Deploy Inferable on your own infrastructure with our comprehensive self-hosting guide
- Customization: Fork the repository and modify it to suit your specific needs (we'd appreciate if you could share your changes back with the community!)
- Community contributions: Join our growing community of developers and help shape the future of Inferable
How to self-host your own Inferable instance
- Check out our GitHub repository
- Follow our detailed self-hosting guide to deploy your own instance
- Join our community discussions and contribute to the project
Managed Cloud
We'll continue to offer a managed cloud service for Inferable, with a generous free tier. We don't really encourage self-hosting setup for heavy production workloads, but it's perfectly fine for smaller projects.
MIT License
We've chosen the MIT License to ensure maximum flexibility for our users. This means you can:
- Use Inferable in commercial projects
- Modify the code
- Distribute your modified versions
- Integrate it with other software
- All while maintaining the original copyright and license notices
We're excited to see how the community will help evolve Inferable. Whether you're interested in self-hosting, contributing code, or just exploring how we built things, we welcome you to be part of our open-source journey.
